NHS App Drop-ins – Helping Our Communities Get Connected

Supporting people to feel more confident using the NHS App and accessing health services digitally.
Digital access is becoming an increasingly important part of how people manage their health, but not everyone feels confident using online services or knows where to start.

Across the Yorkshire Coast and Wolds PCN, we've been holding NHS App drop-in sessions to help local people understand how to use the app and make the most of the services available to them.

The sessions offer an opportunity for people to ask questions, get practical support and build their confidence in using the NHS App at their own pace.

Practical support, tailored to the individual
The NHS App gives people access to a range of NHS services, including viewing their health information, ordering repeat prescriptions and accessing other features available through their GP practice.

For some people, getting started can feel daunting. Having someone available to talk them through the process, explain the different features and help them understand what they can do for themselves can make a real difference.

Our drop-ins are about making digital health more accessible, recognising that people have different levels of confidence and experience, and providing support in a way that works for them.

Making digital access work for everyone
Helping people use digital services isn't just about technology. It's about giving people the knowledge and confidence to manage aspects of their own healthcare, while recognising that support needs to remain available for those who find digital access difficult.

Through these sessions, we're helping local people explore the options available to them and supporting the wider ambition to make health services easier to access.
